Betsy is 6 Months Old...

Our first year with Little Miss B. is halfway over. Brett and I have mixed feelings about our little baby growing up so quickly, but Betsy has kissed the days of lying in one place and quietly cooing goodbye (not that she was ever that still or quiet...) and moved on to bigger and better things.

She is so busy all the time and can often be seen playing with a toy in one hand and rubbing her eyes with the other.

She sounds more like a zoo animal than a little baby girl.

She loves her baby friends and new people in general.

She laughs for her Daddy with little effort on his part, but doesn't think her Mommy is very funny.

She will punish you with her screams if you take away something she likes.

She isn't officially crawling (no complaints), but if she sees something she wants she will get to it.

She loves playing near furniture and got her first black eye during one of her adventures under the coffee table.
*By the way, it's not at all embarrassing to go in public carrying an infant with a big shiner.

All in all we have loved every minute with Betsy Ruth and cannot stop watching her be her crazy little herself. Naps or no naps, quiet or screeching, I know we will look back on these months and miss them. She is our favorite.

She is happy to be 6 months old, but don't be fooled...

...she is feeling a little tired...

...naps are not going so well now that she is so old...

....she has too much to do in her crib besides sleep.

When she isn't fighting naps, she is helping herself to everything in sight.

Vegetables are not a favorite....but don't worry, she pulled herself about 6 feet across the family room floor to grab her Daddy's burrito last week, so I guess we know whose child she is, BRETT. Mommy would NEVER eat greasy burritos ;-)

  1. Sweet Betsy, how are you 6 months old??? Talk to your parents about an Atlanta trip. We miss you!
