We are so over this heat! We have gotten our fill and we are ready to head into fall.
But since the heat does not seem to be going away any time soon, we have had to brave it in order to break up these dog days.
Our friend Molly has a brand new baby brother, so we borrowed her for the day and let her mom have a break. What do 3 girls do on a hot day?? Go to "Touch a Truck", of course!! But we weren't there for the trucks...or the guys...

...we were there for the free candy!! I introduced Molly to lollipops, best babysitter ever

This budding connoisseur of sugar had no problem showing Molly the ropes.

Park time has been limited to the hours of 8-10am. But we soak up all the park time we can. Betsy is lucky enough to have two strapping gentlemen to accompany her.
Tate (he does usually smile, but this is a pretty cute pout)

Ty

My little monster. She does few things these days without a tool of some kind in her hand...you never know what you might need to dig up at the top of the slide.

Not only are these dog days but they are also Dodge City Days. Let me tell you, they don't mix well. The rodeo is here, there are parades and cookouts, rides and concerts...all fun, in theory, but not in reality, at least not our reality, which has a temperature of 105. But hey, we are playing along. One day down, lots more to go...
Red legs...oops. It is almost impossible to keep up with sunscreen. I think it just evaporates immediately.

You will notice, hydration is a major focus of Miss B's., as it should be...but the Gatorade was not happening.

This just about sums it up...is it October yet??
