It was good to be back in Colorado. We had a great weekend at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs to celebrate my cousin Emily's wedding. The weather was PERFECT and we did lots of playing outside surrounded by mountains. The wedding was beautiful and really fun. Betsy apparently thought her cream colored dressed afforded her some special rights, like walking down the aisle before the bride and being part of the introduction of the newly married couple, specifically the part where you smoosh your face against the door and lick the glass before you are announced. She was a handful at the wedding, but as usual she tried her best :-)
(If you think I looked tired in these pictures, it's because I am. Lots of traveling + lots of fun + loss of summer tan + 18 month old = big bags under the eyes. Can't wait to see what happens to my face as we enter holiday season craziness!!)
Brett and I have been married for five years. We enjoyed married life on our own, but it has been even more exciting and fulfilling with our daughters in our lives. Lucky for Betsy, Ellen, Jane and me, Brett has more than enough of those forehead kisses to go around! He sure loves his girls.
Her eyes have been sparkling with curiosity since day one. She is quite a character and there is never a dull moment when you're with Betsy. We love it.

It's still shocking that we had two babies at once, but these little girls are so sweet and we are very excited to get to know their individual personalities as they grow.
